Space and I

A few weeks ago I had been to an acquaintances' house. It was a huge house for a husband, wife and their kid. But still they had qualms about space. So it got me thinking about space.

When I was coming into this world all that I required was my mother's womb. Then it was a cradle or a small part of the bed that just gave me enough space to sleep and "think" and "dream" of "anything". As days went by I grew and with growth came wants.

The need for space is consumed not in the mind but in the physical world.

Today "I" define space. Space for my car, my clothes, my furniture, my books, my utensils, rooms to satisfy my moods - room to sleep, room to work, room to cook, room to play, room to talk to visitors, a balcony to have a "silent evening". So a 5'7" person weighing 104 pounds require so much?? :)

Does the world work on the principle of ownership? Do the ones who own define the society's wants? Why is there this need for ownership over the world we live in? Ha ha wonder??

The universe has had an open heart to give itself up to all who came to it. In turn we have ruled it, taken from it and forgotten its kindness in the name of individuality.

We amass so much of stuff over the years that unknowingly we pollute our space.

Tried liberating myself from the thought by giving away things I owned :)
